Friday Night Pins

Its Friday! Yah! The weekend is here again. This weekend looks like its going to be a cold one, well Texas cold. I know on the East Cost it is snowing...lucky! I've actually never seen snow, unless you count an 2 inches of snow that melted by the afternoon. It was a Christmas miracle.
For the weekend I plan to be outdoors and since it is going to be cold I decided to look at some winter fashion pins. What are you going to be doing this weekend?

DIY: Dream Catcher

Hey everyone! For my first DIY post I decided to make my favorite symbol/decoration/item...a dream catcher. I have had my eye on dream catchers from a young age. Their creation, their design, their mystical, symbolic meaning of catching bad dreams and being good luck. All of it just catches my eye. I have been wanting to make a dream catcher for quite a while so, last week I decided to have a craft day and craft all the Pinterest DIYs I have been wanting to try. I got the design for the center weave from Pinterest and some inspiration ideas as well. All of my supplies were from Micheals but you can get them from wherever you prefer. 

Items needed:

• Circle for the wreath (I used brown covered wire for bouquets)
• String for the center, preferably cotton string
• Scissors
• Glue Gun
• Assortments of ribbons + charms
• feathers

So I started by making a circle with the wire to look like the wreath below. Once you have done that, tie your string and weave it into the pattern shown in the image below.

After you have finished weaving, you can add ribbons, feathers, and charms by gluing and tying them onto the base or however you feel our dream catcher should look.

Once your done hang it above your bead and say bye to the bad dreams!

Currently: Re-Decorating

Hey everyone! I am currently re-decorating my new apartment, so I will be away from blogging for this week, and this is also the reason I was away from blogging last week. I wish I could have a whole day to get this done but it is definitely harder than I imagined. Especially when you always are missing something or think in your mind, I could add this and I need this to make this look better.  I am currently looking for ideas on how to set up all my stuff in this new apartment with the little space that I have, I'll definitely be looking at Martha's site for some tips and tricks. If you guys have any suggestions please send them my way. For now I will be looking at Pinterest and GlitterGuide for home decor ideas!

Weekend Shine 6.28.13

Hi everyone! I finally got back into my normal routine after coming back from Florida this past weekend. This week back was rough, especially since I had a final due on Wednesday. However, the weekend is finally here again and I am so excited because Saturday is my birthday!!! I will 21 on Saturday which is one of the big milestones that everyone comes across during their life. I will be having a get together at my parents home in the Valley and since I love to plan and theme my parties, this years theme is.... Morocco! To get some inspiration from Morocco here are some images I found on Pinterest this week!

Interior Space: Florals

Spring is here! Along with spring comes spring cleaning and redecorating. Well, for me it does :) So if you are like me and you have the urge to just flip your house/apt. inside out and start fresh then maybe you should consider adding some floral prints this season. Floral prints are seen everywhere right now, whether it be on clothes, pillows, or shoes! Its out there. Pinsterations: Downton Abby

My schedule has not been consistent but I finally got time to relax and get some blogging done. How is everyone? Doing well I hope:) I hope all of you had a fantastic Valentine's Day! So, this weeks blog is about pins-terations about Downton Abby. If some of you don't know what Downton Abby is click this to get more info! I recommend everyone watch it! You will definitely love the fashion, design, and style of the era. I have recently gotten int this series and am completely obsessed with it. Especially the clothes and accessories. It is amazing how these woman change three times a day and look fabulous head to toe every single time. I wish we all still practiced and dressed in this fashion. It is so classic and timeless, with a neoclassical rococo feel to it. Enjoy the Pins!

Pinsterations: FurFaux Fur

I have been looking for a faux fur piece forever and a day but, I just can't seem to find anything!!! It really errks {yes errks} me that I cannot find something when I'm looking for it but when I'm not even thinking about it it magically appears. Well, even though I have failed miserably in trying to find my perfect match that doesn't mean I will give up. So to motivate me in continuing my search I have gone to Pinterest!
