NYE

This New Years Eve is going to be a shiny one. Gold has been a very popular color in my own wardrobe this Fall/ Winter and I will not stop now. This year at New Years I will be coveting these sparkly gold heels {#5} with a gold sparkle trim skirt. Now we all want to be as shiny as a firework but there is such a thing as too much glitter. So, to counteract the shine you will be emitting from your dazzling dress and shoes you can compliment the wardrobe with a nude or black clutch and some fire red lipstick. You can also go for a matte or suede pumps in a nude or black color if you want to keep you bag glitzy. Try not to go so neon though, with all the sparkle going on you don't want to make others have to wear sunglasses around you. In the end just go with your gut and wear what makes you feel beautiful. As long as you feel it everyone will see it:) Happy New Year everyone!

P.S. Don't forget to make some awesome resolutions for 2013. Mine is to follow my instincts in every situation. Whats yours? Let me know--> #SSNYR

Timeless Pieces:Coats

The cold weather is here and joy is in the air for winter fashion. Probably my favorite season for weather and clothing, winter brings back wonderful memories of coats passed. Coats are a timeless classic that I personally took for granted. If only I still had that green coat I gave away three years ago. However, I learned my lesson and will be keeping my coats with me for a very long time, unless something unfortunate happens to them {I hope not}. Coats are feminine, powerful, and colorful just like the woman wearing them, not to mention they keep you very warm as well. Be strong and confident in your coat and no one can bring your day down. Adding a pair of chic pumps wouldn't be bad either ;)

Statement Piece

One of the biggest looks I have seen this Fall/Winter has been huge, sparkly, and chunky necklaces. If you feel like your outfit is not giving you that special shine, go ahead and add that statement piece. I personally love this look and use it mostly everyday. It is starting to look like I wear them religiously.
This statement piece is also a great way to turn lets say a pull over sweater, the ones you wear when there is nothing else to wear {you know those days I'm talking about}. Adding a colorful or glittery necklace is just that extra step you should take to transform your sweater from drab to fab {too cliche?, I didn't think so haha} You may not be able to use a chunky necklace for every outfit depending on the neck line of your top but hopefully these inspiration pieces can give you a better idea.
