Weekend Shine

Happy Friday everyone! This weekend is going to start of the greatest month of the year June! Why is June the best you say? Well it's because it's the start of summer, school is out, we can start dressing in summer attire, enjoy the sun, take a summer vacation, AND my birthday and anniversary are this month! So yea June is awesome!!! This weekend I decided to take a trip to my hometown and celebrate my 5 year anniversary with my loving boyfriend. What are you all doing this weekend? If you have nothing to do maybe you should take a spontaneous trip out. You won't regret it!

Favs: Blogs

I really need to work on my consistency with my blogging. The life of a college student does not leave me time to unwind much. I hope everyone had a great Memorial Day weekend! I had a sort of a Crossfit weekend watching the regionals here in San Antonio and doing MURPH on Memorial Day. With having a weekend full of workout cloth and no frills I needed a bit of inspirational views today to get myself to want to dress up instead of being in work out clothes all day. Wish I could sometimes, but that wouldn't be ideal. So when I'm looking for some oomph to my day I go to my favorite blogs! I wanted to share them with you all so maybe if you are having a day/week like mine, they could inspire you too!

The Doctor's Closet is a lifestyle blog by Monika Hibbs. She writes about her daily life
+ some great products that are worth trying. She also has her own jewelry shop on Etsy
which has some fun bracelets!

The Sparkle is a new blog that I am following and is by Erin. She is a makeup artist and has
some great tips on beauty, nail art, and some great recipes for yummy food! So far I love it:)

Glitter Guide is not a blog however, it was founded by a blogger who wrote Sterling Style. I
started following Taylor Sterlings blog about a year and a half ago and have been following
her ever since. Her style, beauty, and life advice is wonderful and was actually a main
inspiration for myself to start blogging. I really recommend it!
Style Within Reach is a fashion + lifestyle blog in which Caitlin writes about affordable
yet stylish ways to get the most bang for your buck. I love all her different outfits she
posts about everyday. I have to say I have actually tried some of them out and received
compliments;)

Finals Essentials

If you are a college student like me you have already taken or are getting close to finals. I had my finals this week and all I can say is there is no time to sleep, eat, or function normally. Long nights keep your eyes dark and long days call for a lot of caffeine. This puts some wear and tear into your body such as tired eyes, skin loosing hydration or glow, stomach aches, headaches, etc. Plus, you don't even feel like dressing up or looking good for the day ahead. So...I have come up with some tips and tricks to keeping sane throughout the day.
1. Don't stop your skin care regimen. Even if your tired try to at least wash your face and moisturize at least once if you can't twice like usual. If you don't have enough energy for both then I would recommend definitely washing your face of all the dirt from the day. Cleansing wipes are an easy and quick way to get your face clean.
2. Caffeine can be great to keep you up but if you have too much it can be horrible for your body. So try some green tea. It has caffeine and is healthier for you than coffee.
3. Try to get sleep! I know it will be hard but even an hour or thirty minutes is good.
4. If you have no time to eat, stock up on snacks. I like to eat trail mix with chocolate mixed in. Nuts are a good way to get protein and chocolate is just delicious.
5. My hair tends to get kind of crazy around finals because I have no time to fix it so I use dry shampoo and hair ties, lots and lots of hair ties.
6. Your bags are going to be killer so conceal, conceal, conceal.
7. BB Cream is a fast way to save your face and moisturize it at the same time.
8. Lastly, once you finish with your finals throw your hands in the air and wave them like you just don't care!

Happy studying fellow students!
